Lely's Small Condo Buildings and Older Homes

Spray Foam Insulation in Lely often involves smaller condo and villa buildings. Point2Homes' ACS figures show about 28.3% of units in buildings of 5 to 9 units and 15.0% in buildings of 10 to 19. Roughly 38.7% of homes date from the 1980s and 27.6% from the 1970s, for a median build year of 1985.

Top-floor units

In a two- or three-story building, the units under the roof take the most heat. Where there is an attic above, sealing the ceiling and adding insulation helps. Where the attic is shared across units, the association usually has to approve and may prefer to do the whole building at once. We can quote either way.

Residents who are home all day

Wikipedia reports a median age of 67.7 in Lely, with 54.9% of residents 65 or older and 44.3% of households made up of one person. Many residents are home through the heat of the day, so comfort matters more than in a house that sits empty until evening. For foam jobs, we plan the time out of the home well in advance and keep the disruption short.

Low elevation

Lely is bordered by U.S. 41, Naples Manor and Lely Resort, and sits at about 7 feet. Homes this close to sea level have often been through storm damage, so we look for water staining before covering anything.

Single-family homes too

Lely is not only condos. The single-family homes in the area date from roughly the same period, and their attics show the same wear: thin insulation, gaps around old light fixtures and ducts that have been patched more than once. For those homes, the plan is usually to seal, top up to depth and fix any duct joints we can reach.

Keeping it simple for residents

Many Lely residents prefer a single point of contact and a clear schedule. We give you a written quote, a start date and the time you need to be out of the home if foam is involved. If you want a family member to review the quote, we are glad to walk them through it by phone.

Lely Questions

Can just my unit be insulated if the attic is shared?

Sometimes, if the attic is divided at your unit. In an open shared attic, the association usually decides. We look and explain the options.

Is the work loud or disruptive?

Spray rigs run outside and hoses come in; blown-in work is fairly quick. We give you a schedule ahead of time.

Will a cooler top floor lower my bill?

Less heat through the ceiling means the AC runs less, but savings vary by unit. We do not promise a number.

How do I know if the heat is coming through the ceiling?

A ceiling that feels warm to the touch on a summer afternoon, or a top-floor unit that runs several degrees warmer than the floor below, are good signs. We confirm in the attic.
